Friday 17th May
We began working towards our DIY badge last week, thinking about making a chicken feeder to go in to our secret garden.
After making our promise, we played some games which aim to improve our teamwork, cooperation and communication skills, which are integral to the Cub Scout values.
In our packs, we decided on the most effective design and set about making a prototype for our feeders (with varying degrees of success!). We talked about how effective eggsisting products were manufactured and assembled and discussed how well we would be able to replicate and improve upon them.
We used paper, tape and simple joining techniques in order to create some absolutely eggcellent prototypes. There are a few eggsamples pictured below!
We are hoping to go in to construction in the coming weeks!
