Hillcrest Academy is proud to be working with The Government Free Breakfast Club Scheme, providing healthy breakfasts to our pupils so that they are settled and ready to learn. Between us both we are committed to supporting child development, and we believe a healthy school breakfast can set up children to succeed and give them the very best chance to learn. Having a nutritious breakfast will ensure children start their school day in the best possible way. Breakfast gives children the energy needed for the busy school morning, enabling them to focus on their lessons.
Here at Hillcrest, we are committed to ensuring that no child will ever spend a school day feeling hungry; out breakfast club supports some of our community’s most vulnerable families. We provide a happy, healthy and state of the art breakfast hub, where all children are welcome.
Breakfast Club is free to all children between 8am – 8.40am, when children are taken outside to line up with their class. Children should be brought to the breakfast club door and registered before heading upstairs. This will help to support parents and children in their daily routine to get to school. We run our breakfast club in our community hub and upper hall. We know this will also support families to arrive at school on time.
We do offer an earlier paid for provision for working parents, where you can drop your child off between 7.45-7.50am at the breakfast club door. This costs £2.50 per week per child. If you do not arrive between these times you will need to wait with your children until the door reopens at 8am.
