The children visited Tropical World to kickstart their new Geography unit; Rainforests. There day was amazing and included immersing ourselves into the tropical climates, where butterflies flew around our heads, turtles splashed in the waters, and monkeys leapt across branches. They participated in a workshop learning lots of fun facts about the rainforest layers and the animals found in the different layers. They also explored Tropical World’s animals such as, insects, reptiles, birds, and lots more exciting things. They learnt all about which resources and foods come from the rainforest, and why it’s important to protect it!
