Our time in our classrooms have been filled with excitement, curiosity and discovery. The children have been busy exploring their new learning environment, learning where resources belong and how to use them carefully and respectfully. As they settle into their new class, they are developing a strong sense of belonging—building friendships, learning each other’s names and discovering how to work and play together.
Through shared activities and daily routines, the children are beginning to understand responsibility, helping to tidy up, care for equipment and look after their classroom. These experiences are supporting the prime areas of the Early Years curriculum, nurturing communication and language, strengthening physical development, and building personal, social and emotional skills. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they become happy, independent and valued members of our Early Years community at Hillcrest Academy.
